My diary is empty But I'm filling it with words Spending my twenties Just listening to birds Lying in the sunshine Losing track of time I don't need to unwind Cos today is all mine Things to do before I die My list needs some reviewing I'm finding a new life By being and not doing Things to do before I die My list needs some reviewing I'm finding a new life By being and not doing Forget about the flights Spend my late nights With myself for a while I was just passing through The windows in my mind Watch the dust settle softly Dancing in the light Didn't I, didn't I Wish that life would slow down? Didn't I, didn't I, didn't I? Didn't I, didn't I Wish that time would stretch out? A pause for love to keep alive Things to do before I die My list needs some reviewing I'm finding a new life By being and not doing Things to do before I die My list needs some reviewing I'm finding a new life By being and not doing Forget about the flights Spend my late nights With myself for a while

I haven't seen you in so long Let me send you a song The world has stopped turning 8pm comes so early Looking at the clouds and the trees I'm remembering more of my dreams The world in my mind When this is over, don't leave me behind We're all losing sleep over missing someone, missing something My own holiday solo surfing on waves, living online Feeling more connected to you Middle of the night, we can watch something new Sky turning blue, soon no stars from my window Never too late Sun on my face Never too late Sun on my face Never too late Sun on my face

I saw a little bird one day Getting ready to fly away Standing there with trembling legs But wings as strong as big black pegs In the air he jumped gaily Ready to start this flying daily This little bird as black as night As getting ready to start a fight A fight against the gale force air Was hauling back his mop of hair This little bird began to sigh Then suddenly he started to fly!

Drop by drop by drop by drop The last time I saw you Your clothes hung loosely from your bones Back under the same roof The stairs to the top floor You lie on your bed, waiting The days are seeping through your sheets Evaporating drop by drop by drop by drop by... You wake up alone and everything hurts But today I'm all yours, but today I'm all yours But now Swimming now not drowning Breathe out and then breathe in Though you're feeling seasick Cool breeze, can you feel it The last time I saw you Your smile could through any row You've always been our glue But you're not sticking to us now There's something so painful I hope you can let it out somehow You wake up alone and everything hurts But today I'm all yours, but today I'm all yours But now Swimming now not drowning Breathe out and then breathe in Though you're feeling seasick Cool breeze, can you feel it

I'll be your host tonight Invite you to the bright light I'll have what you're having Through the wall I hear laughing How's your family Flowers on the apple tree You pick a theme I'm picking the seam I'm not a bedroom person But not this is my everything space One side of the curtain A piece of you in my hiding place As if we've gone back to mine We press play at the same time Spend the evening together Under different weather We had good fun Shall we do another one? Head on my pillow I don't want you to go I'm not a bedroom person But not this is my everything space One side of the curtain A piece of you in my hiding place When we talk I know there's time on my side I don't want you to go I wanna lie with you in real time Now I see you smile over Facetime And I saw you laughing I struggle connect and when my eyes hurt I know I'm overreacting I just wanna feel close I'm not a bedroom person But not this is my everything space One side of the curtain A piece of you in my hiding place

about

The Pyjama Party EP is a collection of five tracks written during the lockdown. This is an instant and spontaneous project which developed over a short period of time. The general theme of the songs being isolation, this music is particularly relevant right now, as we all process the ups and downs of our time alone at home, so it felt right to release it as soon as it was ready.
We took the opportunity to involve as many collaborators as possible: Paige Bea, Ria Moran, MEI and Toby Couling are featured on four of the tracks, and the whole EP is tied together by visuals created by Michele Stella. We gave everyone complete creative freedom to write and make whatever they wanted, so it really felt like we were making something collectively.
Recorded in bedrooms and written over Facetime calls, the Pyjama Party EP is free to download, but any extra donations will be collected and donated to Women's Aid to help victims of domestic abuse.
